Message from CEO

Manish Jain, CeoGreetings from IBA Bengaluru.

A lot of people initially asked us on the reason behind naming ourselves – Indus Business Academy. We are proud to share that our deep roots with Indian history, Indian management which is always been praised in the east. The word “Indus” reflects the Indian history, and “Business Academy” reflects an Indian Mangement B-School .

IBA would create a niche for itself in the sea of management institutes through the culture it will imbibe in its students.

The IBA's founding mission is to bring excellence in Teaching, Training, Corporate Networking and in Placements. We decided to address these issues by creating a world-class infrastructure in a 5-acre eco-friendly land. The curriculum at IBA is designed in a manner that it will be rigorous, which will constantly be upgraded based on corporates' requirement and would be in tune with the latest case studies and real time experiences. A strong and active corporate networking will helps us to feed the inputs from the industry into academics. Apart from curriculum, the best available faculty would teach IBAians to improve their leadership, communication and soft skills.

At IBA, the talent of the students will be sharpened through various Clubs like the HR, I3, Operations, Marketing, Finance and Retail Club. The objective of these clubs would be to inculcate the habit of working in a team and to encourage peer learning. These clubs will actively organize learning events, seminars guest lectures to keep the club members abreast with latest trends in corporate and academia. To keep the culture of India alive inside the campus of IBA we will have an active Cultural club named YMCC (Yoga Meditation & cultural centre) which would celebrates prominent festivals.

The end results of these strategies would be visible in couple of years when these young mind will start performing in the industry. IBA would encourage students to participate in various research paper presentation, management fests, B-School competitions which will give them an competitive environment and a platform to interact with the peer group from other institutions. The IBA Vision, its Culture, the Teaching and the Training will become a role model for new generation B-Schools in the country in the near future.

The vision is to get IBA into the top B-Schools in the next 3 years. For achieving this, we would make sustained efforts to induct talented faculty and facilitate them to bring major breakthroughs in knowledge creation. The results woould be evident in their scholarly publications of articles, papers and books, presentations in National and International Conferences. This will strengthened our efforts in knowledge creation and distribution and thus make IBA a 'Centre of Excellence for Learning'.

We will aim to build managers and leaders who are hardworking, who believe in dignity of labour, who are team players and pragmatic, having their foot firmly on ground. Indus Business Academy in Bangalore would march on a path of glory.

Think beyond, Think IBA !
